Why Try to Overcome Your Fear?

It's easier to just stay away from the dentist.  Take the path of least resistance.  If nothing hurts, assume everything is fine.

But you shouldn't wait until a toothache wakes you up in the middle of the night.

Why?

Because dental care is not just about having pretty teeth that don't hurt.

Good dental health could  improve your overall health and even prolong your life.

I once heard of a study that showed people who keep all their teeth live an average of ten years longer than those who don't....ten years!

That's a long time.

The link between chronic inflammation and many diseases is becoming more and more important and is getting a lot of attention in the medical community.

Healthy, inflammation-free gums are more important than ever before.

We can't control everything that impacts our health. Genetics, stress and environmental factors all have a role and are much harder to change.

But, everyone can improve the health of their teeth and gums reducing the risk of many chronic diseases.

I have seen many overcome mild or severe fear.  It takes time.  Bad dental memories are never forgotten and shouldn't be minimized.  If a dentist mistreated you it was wrong.  I'm so sorry.     Here are some suggestions for easing your anxiety.
