is sensodyne good for bleeding gums

Which type of sensodyne is suitable for control blooding?

Hi Tariq, Sensodyne is not made specifically for bleeding gums. Sensodyne is often mistakenly used for any and every type of mouth pain but actually it is made only for a very specific type of tooth sensitivity and not at all for gum pain or sensitivity. It is for tooth sensitivity. It most often helps teeth that are sensitive to cold due to exposed root surfaces caused by gum recession. It won't help if you have a cavity or have sore gums.

There are a few products that help control gingivitis and bleeding gums. Listerine Mouthwash is one that I recommend. It works well to kill the bacteria that cause gingivitis.

If your gums are consistently bleeding when you brush, floss or touch them, you probably need more than a mouthwash or toothpaste. You should see your dentist for a gum evaluation and cleaning if you haven't had one for awhile.

If you are not able to see a dentist, keep brushing and flossing as much as possible (it is more difficult to floss if you need a dental cleaning but do the best you can) and gently massage your gums with your toothbrush for at least 10 minutes a day following the instructions here:

After following the above home remedy, rinse with Listerine twice a day for 30 seconds.
