tooth problem with possible absess

I had a tooth filled recently and now have a sensitive lump right above canine my sinuses above gum line in my face.

Hi Debbie, It is a possibility but impossible to know without more information. I would recommend having it checked by your dentist if the problem persists.

When a filling is large or close to the nerve it is possible for the nerve to react causing sensitivity or pain. This condition is called pulpits and can be reversible which means the nerve recovers or irreversible. The treatment for irreversible pulpits is a root canal - removing the nerve and replacing it with a filling material.

Hope you feel better soon,
