WEIRD GUMS

HELP!! LAST NIGHT I COULD FEEL MY GUMS WERE NEAR BOTTOM OF MY TOOTH WAS BUT WHEN I WOKE UP INSTEAD OF FEELING THE GUM THERE I FELT MY TOOTH!! IM SCARED!! DO I HAVE A GUM DISEASE?!

Hi Tyler, I'm not sure if you have gum disease. What you are describing sounds like your gum is receding.

Receding gums is a gum condition that may or may not be caused by gum (periodontal) disease.

Receding gums can be caused by several things or a combination of factors. In addition to periodontal disease an uneven bite, clenching or grinding or brushing too hard are some things that can contribute to receding gums.

It would be a good idea to have your teeth and gums checked by a dentist. That is the only way to know for sure.
